Caring & Confidential Help for Body & Mind

Anti-Smoking Treatment

"Beat the Craving, Be Nicotine-Free"

Different people smoke for different reasons.

I have been treating smokers with a high degree of success for more than 20 years, and am convinced the reason other treatments so often fail is that they don't take into account individual needs.

Most smokers are Habit Smokers. Any behaviour that we repeat enough times will eventually become more or less automatic - a Habit. Or they smoke for mainly social reasons.

Some smokers are able to give up without help, but many feel trapped by nicotine dependency, while others smoke to help them cope with anxiety, frustration, boredom or stress.

For treatment to be successful, we need to find what causes the person to smoke, and treat the cause. I do this using special techniques of Hypnotherapy and NLP to question the inner mind and then to bring about the desired outcome. Nicotine dependency is dealt with as an integral part of the treatment.

For Habit/Social Smokers (about 85 percent of cases) one extended session (lasting about one-and-a-half hours) should ensure success. After that, usually a person will neither want nor need to smoke.

Where, however, smoking is driven by stress or strong emotion, more work may be needed to resolve the underlying causes of the emotion.

Nearly all smokers who want to become Non-Smokers can be helped with Hypnotherapy and NLP. In my opinion, this method is the most comprehensive and the best. However, for those who would prefer a tried and tested alternative, the Clinic also offers Anti-Smoking Acupuncture.

**********

An extended list of other problems and conditions treated would be far too long to reproduce here, but includes:

Musculo-Skeletal and Neurological:
Back pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, sports and other injuries, muscle spasm, trapped nerves, inflammation, tension headaches and migraine, neuralgia. Problems resulting from Birth trauma.

Allergies, Food Intolerances & Related disorders:
Asthma, Hay Fever, rhinitis, sinusitis, migraine, eczema, itching, irritable bowel syndrome, pain after eating, flatulence, fluid retention, swellings, cravings, "numb brain", hyperactivity in children; dental mercury toxicity; thrush/candidiasis, fungal infections, internal parasites, etc.

Skin Disorders: Acne, Eczema (childhood & adult), Psoriasis, etc.

Hormonal Disturbances:
Pre-menstrual tension/syndrome, Menopausal symptoms, hormonal auto-intolerance/sensitivity.

Anti-Smoking Treatments: Hypnotherapy & Acupuncture.

We believe that prevention is better (and cheaper) than cure, and may recommend appropriate changes in habits or lifestyle, and sensible self-help measures such as stress management techniques or dietary supplementation. Health depends upon many factors, including the individual's constitutional resistance, their ability to cope with shocks and changes, their background, lifestyle, diet and home and work environments. For this reason, in our work we emphasise the relationship between physical, mental and emotional aspects of health, in stimulating and supporting the patient's own, innate healing processes.
